GABY SAN ROMAN BUSTINZA

The Origin is the gravitating life between the countryside and the city, born and raised in Cusco, Peru, exposed her to conditions and opportunities that influence her the most.
Gaby received her Architecture license at UPC University in Peru and founded GSR in 2012, which allows her to maintain a stronger vision ingrained in the urban thinking. In 2014 GSR had an academic break, embarking in the understanding and exploration of cities and towns at different scales and cultures, obtaining a Master of Architecture of Urban Design at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
As an individual, she strategically has one foot inside the corporate world allowing her to be active and with a voice in scales unthinkable for independent young architects. She collaborates with CAZA Architects in NY since 2017, designing and leading closely with the Principal large-scale projects in urban design and architecture like the BDCA Iconic Building and The New Supreme Court. Previously she collaborated with NOARCHITECTURE leading residential, mass housing, and international competitions.
As an emerging office GSR is rethinking the “autonomy of architecture”, her intention is to realize projects with vision, sensitivity, and commitment rooted in reality and the forces of society, manifested in physical form in their respective towns and cities.
